We’ve had a busy week at MiP with lots of events taking place simultaneously. We kicked off with the latest instalment in the RSMR Better Business virtual series, which saw 4 sponsors present a North America masterclass. At the same time we decamped to the Four Seasons Hampshire for our annual JIC event where 40 delegates saw thought-provoking external speakers as well as 12 leading fund groups for two days of truly fascinating sessions. Overlapping this, we ran the RBC Brewin Dolphin virtual event, which brings together 14 sponsors to speak to over 300 RBC Brewin Dolphin wealth managers on a range of asset classes. This was broadcast live from our in-house studio using MiP’s proprietary streaming platform. To top it all off, we are also onsite with Aon running AV and live video editing for their UK Insights Series. A fabulous week all round!
We had a fantastic turnout for the Premier Miton Investment Conference with 190 delegates joining us at the Langham. It was a jam-packed day with a total of 25 speakers across the main platform and individual breakout sessions where the focus was on ‘thinking ahead of the curve’, looking at what we might expect next from ever-changing global markets. The day was finished off with a closing keynote speech from Sir Richard Shirreff, former NATO commander. This event was a pleasure to work on and received excellent feedback from delegates.
We saw a fantastic turn-out at the historic Stationers’ Hall for RSMR’s In The City 2024 conference last week. With 21 sponsors and speakers and a mix of presentations and panels – it’s safe to say it was a jam-packed agenda, focusing on the major trends affecting markets in 2024 and beyond.
Last week we had the pleasure of supporting Franklin Templeton Investments on their UK Investment Conference at The May Fair Hotel. The vibrant branding really set the scene for some lively and engaging main platform panels. Alongside this, a variety of 14 breakout sessions took place, and we finished the afternoon listening to a conversation with Ed Balls over networking drinks. The feedback has been great so far, with one delegate saying, ‘Of the investment conferences I’ve been to over the last 12 months this was probably the best’.
A great start to 2024! We were delighted to support Allspring with their annual sales conference in San Diego, California at the end of January. Many months of planning resulted in a successful three day conference with the theme All.In. All.Ready. It has been a pleasure to work with Allspring on this project and to see many happy faces especially during the Sales Awards dinner.
That’s a wrap at the Aon US conference, rounding off four events for Aon in London, Dublin, Singapore and Miami. We’ve seen hundreds of delegates at all venues; all supported by our bespoke event app with a facility to book one-to-one meetings specifically designed for this client. A great success all round.
We finished November with the final event for RSMR’s Better Business virtual series, totaling 10 events this year, covering a variety of fund groups and almost 50 speakers dialing in to share their insights. Alongside this, we had another successful year at Rudding Park for the RSMR Harrogate Investment Conference 2023, with record numbers and fantastic feedback on the speakers and content.

We ran the event in-person at the Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh as well as streaming online for those unable to attend and were joined by a record number of attendees, with 150 onsite and 200 logging in online. A fantastic couple of days, full of insightful and thought-provoking content.
MiP supported BNY Mellon on the 7th November at the launch of their new research findings on retirement. Their research was showcased on the big screen, with a full hire of Everyman cinema, including special touches such as branded popcorn, sweets and a live scribe capturing the key themes and outcomes from the event.
Over 200 delegates attended Aon’s London conference this week, to discuss the theme of Complexity to Clarity: Making Better Investment Decisions. This is the second year MiP has supported Aon with this event, and it was great to see it all come together to be even bigger and better than last year! The team are looking forward to completing the Wealth Insights Series with the event in Miami at the end of the month.
Last week the MiP events team travelled to Dublin to support Aon with their annual Wealth Insights Series. We are delighted to be working with Aon again on these events, and this year have taken our website and comms support one step further by developing a bespoke webapp which allows clients to book one-to-one meetings with Aon representatives throughout the events. We are now looking forward to the events in London and Miami in November, and the webapp will also be rolled out at Aon’s inaugural Singapore event.
The new event season kicked-off and we are delighted to have worked with Capital Group once again on their Capital Ideas LIVE event yesterday at the Pan Pacific Hotel in London.
Under the topic ‘Inflation vs. Financial Stability’ we had a day of thought-provoking main platform presentations and took a deep dive into investment strategies in the breakout sessions.
It’s fair to say that the creative looked absolutely striking on this beautiful stage.
