Starting with the Select Conference 2024 at the Four Seasons in Hampshire where we received a 5 out of 5 feedback on ‘event organisation’ from delegates, followed by two packed days at the Pan Pacific Hotel for the abrdn Global Investment Forum and the abrdn Client Group Colleague Event. We had more than 250 people attending both abrdn events, a total of 76 speakers, a personalised web app for both days, a lot of video content, on-site editing of the highlights video, whisky tasting and much more. This week showed a pure team effort and we are delighted to work with great people who make all of this happen.
This week we welcomed over 55 delegates to the Four Seasons in Hampshire for the 13th annual Select conference. We had a jam-packed two days full of main platform presentations and boardroom sessions from 11 fund management groups, as well as fascinating keynotes from two external speakers. Delegates also enjoyed plenty of networking opportunities including a welcome BBQ on Monday and all-conference dinner on Tuesday evening. Thank you to everyone who joined us!
We were delighted to support Columbia Threadneedle Investments with the fourth instalment of F&C Live on 6th June. Over 220 delegates joined us at the Nobu Hotel Portman Square in London for an afternoon of insightful presentations and networking. The theme of this year’s event was ‘Smart choices: navigating an age of social change’, and delegates certainly came away with a lot to think about after hearing presentations from award-winning Futurist Shivvy Jervis, BAFTA-award winning Channel 4 News Presenter Matt Frei, and F&C Fund Manager Paul Niven. Overall, it was a great afternoon!
We were delighted to work with Aegon for the second year running on their Bond Talk LIVE conference. The event took place in the heart of the City at the Pan Pacific Hotel, where we welcomed over 50 guests for a day of panel debates, presentations, keynote speeches and breakout out sessions.
Over 130 delegates attended the 12th annual BNY Mellon Investment Management Conference on 21st May, which was once again held at the beautiful Corinthia Hotel in London. Delegates experienced a full day of main platform presentations and interactive fund manager boardroom sessions based around the event theme of “Pivotal Moments”, and the day then ended with a networking drinks reception. Feedback from the attendees was extremely positive with one person saying “Excellent conference as always – very informative and one I would never miss!” and another stating “Everything was brilliant!”. As always it was a pleasure to support BNY Mellon with this event.
MiP is very proud to announce that our co-founder Helen Wagstaff has been awarded an MBE for her outstanding work on CASCAID, a charity initiative raising money for Cancer Research UK, Great Ormond Street Hospital, the NSPCC and the Rainbow Trust.
MiP has been the driving force behind CASCAID, helping the industry raise over £5m since 2017. We are delighted about Helen’s achievement and look forward to continuing to help support young lives.
We’ve had a busy week at MiP with lots of events taking place simultaneously. We kicked off with the latest instalment in the RSMR Better Business virtual series, which saw 4 sponsors present a North America masterclass. At the same time we decamped to the Four Seasons Hampshire for our annual JIC event where 40 delegates saw thought-provoking external speakers as well as 12 leading fund groups for two days of truly fascinating sessions. Overlapping this, we ran the RBC Brewin Dolphin virtual event, which brings together 14 sponsors to speak to over 300 RBC Brewin Dolphin wealth managers on a range of asset classes. This was broadcast live from our in-house studio using MiP’s proprietary streaming platform. To top it all off, we are also onsite with Aon running AV and live video editing for their UK Insights Series. A fabulous week all round!
We had a fantastic turnout for the Premier Miton Investment Conference with 190 delegates joining us at the Langham. It was a jam-packed day with a total of 25 speakers across the main platform and individual breakout sessions where the focus was on ‘thinking ahead of the curve’, looking at what we might expect next from ever-changing global markets. The day was finished off with a closing keynote speech from Sir Richard Shirreff, former NATO commander. This event was a pleasure to work on and received excellent feedback from delegates.
We saw a fantastic turn-out at the historic Stationers’ Hall for RSMR’s In The City 2024 conference last week. With 21 sponsors and speakers and a mix of presentations and panels – it’s safe to say it was a jam-packed agenda, focusing on the major trends affecting markets in 2024 and beyond.
Last week we had the pleasure of supporting Franklin Templeton Investments on their UK Investment Conference at The May Fair Hotel. The vibrant branding really set the scene for some lively and engaging main platform panels. Alongside this, a variety of 14 breakout sessions took place, and we finished the afternoon listening to a conversation with Ed Balls over networking drinks. The feedback has been great so far, with one delegate saying, ‘Of the investment conferences I’ve been to over the last 12 months this was probably the best’.
A great start to 2024! We were delighted to support Allspring with their annual sales conference in San Diego, California at the end of January. Many months of planning resulted in a successful three day conference with the theme All.In. All.Ready. It has been a pleasure to work with Allspring on this project and to see many happy faces especially during the Sales Awards dinner.
That’s a wrap at the Aon US conference, rounding off four events for Aon in London, Dublin, Singapore and Miami. We’ve seen hundreds of delegates at all venues; all supported by our bespoke event app with a facility to book one-to-one meetings specifically designed for this client. A great success all round.
