We were thrilled to once again organise the RSMR London event today at Stationers’ Hall. The MiP team was hard at work managing the AV, event videos, print materials, and onsite support. Meanwhile, the SiP team welcomed Dominic O’Connell, Business Presenter at Times Radio, as he returned to moderate the panel discussions.
The MiP and SiP teams were delighted to once again support Franklin Templeton Investments at their UK Investment Conference at The May Fair Hotel. This year marked 40 years of their partnership with clients in the UK, and the conference aimed to lay the foundation for another four decades of collaboration. Ian King joined us onsite to host the opening panel session, exploring key drivers of growth, inflation, and the impact of recent geopolitical events on markets.
We had another fantastic turnout for the annual Premier Miton Investment Conference, with 187 delegates joining us at The Langham. The day featured insightful presentations from several key speakers, covering fixed income, US, European & UK equities, and income generation. The event concluded with a closing keynote from Ed Conway, Sky’s Data and Economics Editor, who discussed the substances transforming our world and how the battle to control them will shape our geopolitical future.
We were thrilled to partner with Polar Capital for their annual Investor Conference at The May Fair. Our team at MiP played a key role developing the event website, email communications, and personalised web app for delegates.
After the Christmas break, we’re hitting the ground running with the first event in the RSMR Better Business series. The MiP team is excited to collaborate with RSMR on these throughout the year. We also had the pleasure of supporting Janus Henderson Investors at their annual UK Investment Conference, handling AV and staging. A highlight of the event was the opening keynote address by SiP favorite Lord William Hague, former Foreign Secretary and now Chancellor of Oxford University.
We had the pleasure of organising RBC Brewin Dolphin’s investment training conference again and this time celebrated its 10th anniversary. Taking place at the Rosewood, London we welcomed 150 delegates on site with an additional 240 delegates watching the event via the live stream. With the help of 16 wonderful sponsors, we had a packed two-day conference with insights from them brightest brains in the industry.
Over the last 10 years we worked with 75 + different sponsors, listened to more than 40 different external speakers and for the last three years were able to offer a hybrid event solution.
We are already looking forward to the 2025 events.
We had a great evening at BAFTA in Piccadilly celebrating the 20 year anniversary of J O Hambro Capital Management’s UK Equity Income fund. Fund Managers Clive Beagles and James Lowen gave a fascinating insight into what it’s been like to run the fund since its inception in 2004, and guests then enjoyed a glass or two of fizz in the iconic BAFTA venue. It was a pleasure to work with JOHCM to bring this event together and arrange some tasty branded treats for guests to take home with them. All round a great evening!
We returned to Harrogate last week for RSMR’s annual conference at Rudding Park. The event featured a combination of insightful presentations and engaging panel discussions from 21 sponsors, all expertly hosted by Dominic O’Connell. In the evening, the atmosphere shifted to a celebratory tone as attendees gathered for a dinner to mark RSMR’s 20th anniversary. The highlight of the evening was a keynote speech by external speaker Shivvy Jervis, who delivered an inspiring address on the fascinating connection between human and synthetic intelligence (AI), covering both innovation and neuroscience in equal measure.
We were delighted to work with Aon for the third year running on their Wealth Insights Series in London. We always enjoy supporting the team with onsite logistics and a bespoke AV solution, and it’s great to see the event grow year on year! Delegates were treated to a jam-packed agenda full of internal Aon speakers and insightful external speakers, including a livestream with Former Senator Rob Portman and Congressman Joe Crowley live from New York on the morning after the US election. It’s always great to incorporate different elements into an agenda, and it was a pleasure to help Aon bring this all together.
Last week we had the pleasure of working with Moore Global to deliver three back-to-back conferences in the beautiful city of Budapest. It was a jam-packed week of conference sessions, sight-seeing walking tours, lunch and a river cruise down the Danube and a gala dinner at the stunning Museum of Fine Arts, and it was great to see delegates attend from all around the world. It was a pleasure to work with Moore Global on these flagship events, and we look forward to partnering with them again for the 2025 conferences in Marrakesh!
After the summer break we have started the new events seasons which kicked off with the RSMR Better Business Virtual Panel on 17 September followed by Capital Ideas LIVE 2024.
We welcomed over 100 delegates at Capital Group’s new headquarters in Paddington on 18 September and transformed the 16th floor into an event location. We were delighted to be joined by Ed Balls and George Osborne on the main stage for a fantastic panel discussion.
Starting with the Select Conference 2024 at the Four Seasons in Hampshire where we received a 5 out of 5 feedback on ‘event organisation’ from delegates, followed by two packed days at the Pan Pacific Hotel for the abrdn Global Investment Forum and the abrdn Client Group Colleague Event. We had more than 250 people attending both abrdn events, a total of 76 speakers, a personalised web app for both days, a lot of video content, on-site editing of the highlights video, whisky tasting and much more. This week showed a pure team effort and we are delighted to work with great people who make all of this happen.
